Abstract
Fulfillment of clean water includes water sources, processing systems and distribution. A clean water distribution system which is not properly planned may lead to problems in accessibility. This is a very common problems in water distribution system, especially for that is managed and owned by the community. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the clean water distribution system in Mantren Village, Magetan. Network planning is carried out using Epanet 2.0 software. The water source is planned to use a drilled well with a planned discharge of 1.95 liters/second. The water is pumped to the reservoir tank and distributed to the people by gravity force. The analysis results show that the recommended height of the reservoir tank is 11 meters from the ground surface. The number of required pipes is 55 pieces. The water pressure in the pipes and flow velocity have met the requirements issued by the Ministry of Public Works in 2007. The water pressure is in the range of 5-80 meters, while the flow velocity is in the range of 0.3-4, 5 m/sec. The results of this research is expected to provide technical recommendations in planning water distribution systems by local residents.
