This data illustrates the lifestyle of Tangerang residents who emphasize efficiency and convenience, positioning Swipewash as a substantial opportunity to address these demands. The analysis indicates that 62% of laundry services in Tangerang offer pick-up and delivery services, although 40.92% have difficulties in their management. For about 38% of laundry businesses do not offer pick-up and delivery services. Teachers require comprehensive support in English instruction, utilizing textbooks that offer contextual learning to address diverse needs and learning styles. The Emancipated Curriculum grants teachers with greater freedom in designing and executing learning processes that cater to student needs, highlighting a flexible and student-centered methodology. The PkM team organized an activity to promote Riau Malay culture via social media. This activity employed a methodical approach consisting of several stages: first, the introduction and utilization of integrated textbooks on Riau Malay culture; second, the enhancement of English language skills for the promotion of Riau Malay culture; and third, the evaluation process. The research findings indicate a notable enhancement in teachers' English language proficiency, achieving scores of 4 or 5 (High), particularly in the aspect of writing and speaking, which are interwoven with local cultural knowledge. This demonstrates a significant accomplishment of a primary objective, specifically the enhancement of teacher competence. Google Classroom has demonstrated efficacy as a platform for collaboration and the dissemination of Malay cultural materials in English. This research suggests the development of more proficient teachers capable of enhancing regional cultural diversity for a broader audience via digital technology, while also boosting students’ motivation through pertinent and engaging material
2025-08-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Marhamah Marhamah, Sri Yuliani, Nurmalinda Nurmalinda, Cyintia Kumalasari, Dafrizal Samsudin, Mhd Ryan Fahrezi, Sumardi Sumardihttps://journal.umy.ac.id/index.php/berdikari/article/view/27201Partisipasi Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) Desa Melalui Media Edukasi Digital untuk Mencegah Perkawinan Anak2025-07-04T11:08:39+07:00Yenny Aman Serahyenny.upb@gmail.comResmaya Agnesia Mutiara Siraitagnesiamutiara@gmail.comThea Geneveva Josephine Jesajasthea.jesajas@upb.ac.idAdhytia Nugrahaadhytia.nugraha@upb.ac.idSamuel Marpaungmarpaung.sm@upb.ac.id
Child marriage continues to be a significant issue in various Indonesian villages, including Lingkonong Village in Landak Regency. This issue has threatened children's education and health while obstructing the realization of their rights as the future generation of the nation. The Village Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement Team (TP-PKK) serves as an innovator by employing a community empowerment approach to address this issue. This community service initiative aims to enhance public legal awareness regarding the dangers of child marriage, while simultaneously equipping TP-PKK members with skills in utilizing digital media as a tool for prevention campaigns, particularly within the framework of the CEPAK (Child Marriage Prevention) Movement program. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method is utilized, engaging TP-PKK members and residents in the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs. The primary activities encompass legal counseling, training in the utilization of digital platforms, the development of context-specific educational materials, and the dissemination of information via online media. The capacity of TP-PKK Lingkonong Village to manage digital campaigns promoting the CEPAK Movement has significantly increased. Their role as agents of change was effectively reinforced through the initiation of the campaign entitled "Lingkonong Village Towards a Generation Free of Child Marriage." This collaboration enables the community to comprehend the adverse effects of early marriage while also engaging in preventive initiatives. Digital media serves as an effective strategy for enhancing outreach, promoting collective awareness, and establishing a community environment that is more attuned to the safeguarding of children's rights
2025-08-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Yenny Aman Serah, Resmaya Agnesia Mutiara Sirait, Thea Geneveva Josephine Jesajas, Adhytia Nugroho, Samuel Marpaunghttps://journal.umy.ac.id/index.php/berdikari/article/view/28064Implementation of the Smart & Green Building Concept in the UMY Student Dormitory Building2025-07-25T14:59:41+07:00Sukamta Sukamtasukamta@umy.ac.idAgus Jamalagus_jamal@umy.ac.idNafi Ananda Utamanafi@umy.ac.idRudy Suryantorudy@umy.ac.idBagus Subandonobagus_soebandono@umy.ac.idGunawan Budiyantonafi@umy.ac.idArwan Suryantoarwansuryanto@uty.ac.id
The design of student housing in the modern era is not only required to provide functional comfort but also to address the challenges of energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) responds to these needs through the development of a Student Dormitory that adopts the principles of smart and green building. The purpose of this community engagement program is to evaluate the implementation of intelligent and environmentally friendly building concepts from technical, functional, and operational economic perspectives. This program employs a case study method with a descriptive qualitative approach, based on the analysis of building technical documents and a review of relevant national and international scientific literature. The findings show that the integration of digital access control systems (smart access), energy-efficient VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) cooling, harmonic filters, solar water heaters, and the use of Panasap Blue Glass has significantly contributed to reducing energy consumption by up to 40%. In addition to enhancing residents’ comfort and security, these technologies also demonstrate potential investment payback within 5 to 7 years. The implications extend beyond cost and operational efficiency, contributing directly to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Furthermore, this program is grounded on the principle of sustainability, emphasizing the long-term utilization of eco-friendly technologies, the principle of benefit, ensuring tangible advantages for students, the university, and the wider community through improved quality of life and reduced carbon footprint; and the principle of economic viability, guaranteeing operational cost efficiency and financial sustainability of the project. The strategic objectives of this community engagement initiative are (1) to establish UMY’s Student Dormitory as a model of environmentally conscious student housing in tropical regions, (2) to promote knowledge and technology transfer on smart and green buildings to other universities, (3) to strengthen UMY’s reputation as a modern campus aligned with the SDGs agenda, and (4) to create an energy-efficient housing ecosystem that contributes to long-term cost savings and improved residents’ well-being. In conclusion, the study indicates that UMY’s student housing model, based on smart and green building principles, is feasible to adopt as a reference for dormitory development in other higher education institutions, particularly in tropical areas
2025-08-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Sukamta Sukamta, Agus Jamal, Nafi Ananda Utama, Rudy Suryanto, Bagus Subandono, Gunawan Budiyanto, Arwan Suryanto
