Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the influence of several key variables, namely personal characteristics (PC), creative work environment (CWE), cognitive skills (CS), and transformational leadership (TL), on Creative Problem Solving  (CPS) in the work environment.

The survey method and the use of questionnaires are adopted as the main approach in data collection which includes aspects of personal characteristics, work environment, cognitive skills, transformational leadership, and creativity in problem solving. The research covers individuals in various industries at the middle management level.  Statistical methods (regression), used to examine the relationship between the independent variable (personal traits, work environment, cognitive skills, transformational leadership) and the dependent variable (Creative Problem Solving ). Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), to investigate complicated and more varied relationships among research variables.

The results of the analysis show that Transformational Leadership has a significant positive impact on the Creative Work Environment. In addition, Creative Problem Solving (CPS) is also significantly influenced by CWE and Cognitive Skills (CS), although there is no significant influence between CPS and Personal Characteristics (PC).

The theoretical contribution of these findings reinforces the importance of Transformational Leadership in creating a work environment that supports creativity, as well as strengthening CWE's relationship with CPS and CS. However, the absence of significant influence between CPS and PC indicates the need for further research into factors that influence CPS beyond personal characteristics. The findings emphasize the importance of transformational leadership in creating creative work environments. Strengthening CWE factors can improve creative skills.
