Abstract

Gestasional Trophoblast Diseases are a group of diseases originated from the fetal chorion and consists of: hydatid mole, invasive mole, trophoblast tumor of the placental site and choriocarcinoma. Therefore, this clinical definition includes the benign and malignant conditions. Hydatid mole can cause morbidity and mortality due to bleeding, embolism, perforation, coagulopathy and infection. Moreover, it also induces malignancy in the future. Hence, early detection and right treatment of hydatid mole, as well as early detection of trophoblast tumor after hydatid mole evacuation are very essential as important efforts to compress the mor¬bidity and mortality due to these trophoblast diseases.

Penyakit Trofoblast Gestasional adalah sekelompok penyakit yang berasal dari khorion janin, yang meliputi mola hidatidosa, mola invasif, tumor trofoblas dari tempat implantasi plasenta dan khoriokarsinoma. Jadi pengertian klinik ini meliputi keadaan jinak maupun ganas. Mola hidatidosa dapat menimbulkan morbiditas dan mortalitas akibat perdarahan, emboli, perforasi, koagulopati dan infeksi. Selain itu juga menimbulkan keganasan di kemudian hari. Oleh karena itu, deteksi dini dan penanganan yang baik pada penderita mola hidatidosa maupun penemuan dini tumor trofoblas sesudah evakuasi mola sangat penting sebagai upaya untuk menekan morbiditas dan mortalitas akibat penyakit trofoblas ini.
