Efek Mengkonsumsi Air Minum dengan Mineral Rendah dan Minuman Isotonik Bervitamin terhadap Kemampuan Rehidrasi

All of drinks can restore the body fluid balance and electrolytes which loss because of sports and activity. The aim of this study was to reveal the effect of consumption of drink with low mineral, ordinary and isotonic drink with vitamin. Experimental study, with pre and post test control group design. Subjects were thirty male Medical Faculty of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta students fulfilling the inclusion criteria and divided into 3 groups, the control group, treated group and treated group. The controlled group was given plain water, the treated group I was given water containing low mineral and the treated group II was given isotonic drink with vitamin. Dehydration levels were measured by weighing the subject before and after exercise to find out the level. The restored fluid balance was determined by comparing the results of body weight, clarity, color, and urine specific gravity 15 minutes after rehydration I and 15 minutes after rehydration II to before exercise. The statistic analysis using paired t-test and one way anova test. The results showed that the means of body weight, clarity, color and urine specific gravity before and after exercise were significantly different (p<0,05) based on statistical analysis of three groups. The three groups experienced mild dehydration. There were significant difference (p<0,05) of urine specific gravity 15 minutes after rehydration I, between 2nd treated group with controlled group, 2nd treated group with Ist treated group. No significant difference (p<0,05) of body weight, clarity, and color urine means so 15 minutes after rehydration II among the three groups. An isotonic drink with vitamin was able to restore the body fluid balance in mild dehydration in 15 minutes after exercise. Meanwhile, drink containing low mineral was able to restore the body fluid balance in mild dehydration in 30 minutes after exercise.
Semua minuman dapat mengembalikan keseimbangan cairan dan elektrolit yang hilang akibat beraktivitas dan berolahraga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efek konsumsi air minum dengan mineral rendah, biasa dan minuman isotonik bervitamin. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental, dengan rancangan pre and post test control design. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, berjumlah 30 orang, dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol, perlakuan I dan perlakuan II. Kelompok kontrol diberi air biasa, kelompok perlakuan I diberi air mineral rendah dan kelompok perlakuan II diberi minuman isotonik bervitamin. Dilakukan penimbangan berat badan (BB) sebelum dan sesudah olahraga untuk mengetahui tingkat dehidrasi. Kemampuan rehidrasi diketahui dengan cara membandingkan hasil penimbangan BB, pemeriksaan kejernihan, warna dan berat jenis urin 15 menit sesudah rehidrasi I dan 15 menit sesudah rehidrasi II dengan sebelum olahraga. Analisis data menggunakan paired t test dan one way anova test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rerata BB, kejernihan, warna dan berat jenis urin 15 menit sebelum dan sesudah olahraga terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna secara statistik pada ketiga kelompok (p<0,05). Ketiga kelompok berada pada tingkat dehidrasi ringan. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna secara statistik (p<0,05) antara rerata berat jenis urin15 menit setelah rehidrasi I pada ketiga kelompok. Rerata BB, kejernihan, warna dan berat jenis urin tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna secara statistik (p>0,05). Rerata BB, kejernihan, warna dan berat jenis urin 15 menit setelah rehidrasi II, tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna secara statistik antara ketiga kelompok (p>0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah minuman isotonik bervitamin mampu mengembalikan keseimbangan cairan tubuh pada dehidrasi ringan, dalam waktu 15 menit setelah olahraga, sedangkan air mineral rendah mampu mengembalikan keseimbangan cairan tubuh pada dehidrasi ringan dalam waktu 30 menit setelah olahraga.
