Author Guidelines
AGRARIS is scientific periodical publication on agribusiness and rural development issue as a media for information dissemination of research result for lecturers, researchers and practitioners. The journal only encompasses research and scientific analysis articles in the field of agribusiness including:
Agricultural economics
Agricultural Development dan Policy
Agricultural Marketing
Rural Development
Entrepreneurship and Management of Agribusinesses
Sustainable Agriculture
Agricultural extension, Communication and Education
Information Technology in Agribusiness
Food Security
The article which is sent to the AGRARIS should be original work, i.e. the same article must have not been published or accepted for publication in any other journals/ books either in full or substantial part; and must not be submitted to any other journal forconcurrent publication or being considered for publication or even being reviewed. Articles submitted to the AGRARIS must be written in good English.
Please carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:
1. General Author Guidelines
All manuscripts can be submitted to AGRARIS Editorial Office by Online Submission (link at the top of this page), where author register as Author.
2. Manuscript Template
Manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines in the MS Word manuscript template. The manuscript template can be downloaded at the following link: AGRARIS MANUSCRIPT TEMPLATE.
3. Reviewing of Manuscript
Manuscripts submitted to AGRARIS will be reviewed by the Editorial Board and/or independent judges. The manuscript will be evaluated based on compliance with the focus and scope of the AGRARIS, the contribution of disciplines, stability analysis, clarity of presentation and technical adequacy. Decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within three months of the submission date.
4. Revision of Manuscript
Manuscripts sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. Revised manuscripts can be sent to editorial office through the Online Submission Interface. The revised manuscripts returned later than one half months will be considered as new submissions.
The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process:
Step 1 - Starting the Submission: the author must check-mark on the submission checklists. In "Comments for Editor", An author can type the basic findings of the paper and their significance to Editor. Then, click on "save and continue".
Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded.
Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
Step 5 – Confirming the Submission: Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to AGRARIS journal, click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.
After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes a status of manuscript review and editorial process.
6. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
STRUCTURE OF THE MANUSCRIPT
Title. The title should be brief, describe the uniqueness of the research, not exceed 20 words, and should begin with a capitalized letter for each word.
Author’s name and affiliation. The author’s name should be included by affiliation (write completely) and email address, without the academic title.
Abstract. The abstract is written in English, one paragraph with single spacing (maximum 250 words) without references or formulas. Keywords consist of 3-5 words or phrases (alphabetically). The abstract contains a brief description of the research background (maximum two sentences), aims, methods, main results, and conclusion.
Introduction. The introduction is written without numbers and/or pointers. This section consists of (i) nature and scope of the problem in a broader (national, regional, international) context, (ii) review of relevant literature, (iii) significance/novelty/contribution of this research on knowledge, (iv) aims of this research. If there is a hypothesis, declare it explicitly and not in an interrogative sentence. It should be written efficiently and supported by references. Extensive discussion of relevant literature should be included in the discussion, not in the introduction.
Research Method. This section should explain how the research was conducted. It should be written clearly and completely containing a clear description of (i) population and sampling, (ii) data measuring and collecting, (iii) variable and data analysis. This research method should be sufficiently detailed. For qualitative research, please adjust this method to the scientific writing habits while considering the repeatability of the research. It was unnecessary to write analysis methods commonly (e.g., F-test formula, t-test) but just referred to your source. References of original methods/procedures must be stated, and all modifications of procedures (if any) should be explained. Symbol description of the model was suggested to be written on narration.
Result and Discussion. The beginning of the results and discussion presents the data and found facts, calculated, and discovered. Data should be presented in Tables or Figures when feasible. The table should be clear and stand-alone, giving complete information without text. The title of Table and Figure should briefly and clearly describe the described facts. Symbols written in Table and Figure should be given complete information and allow the reader to interpret the results. Each Figure and Table must be referred to in the narration. In the rest of the section, the author must discuss the research findings.
Conclusion. This section summarizes the principal findings and is written briefly. Conclusion related to the introduction and aims or hypothesis but did not repeat the discussion. Conclusion written critically, logically, and honestly based on the existing fact, and full of cautions if there was a generalization. A recommendation showed the significance of the results/findings or practical application. This section, written in paragraph form, does not use numbering or bullets.
Acknowledgments (if necessary). This section provided the authors with gratitude to the research funder, facility, or suggestion and for the statement if the article is part of the thesis/dissertation.
Author contributions: for the article with several authors, please write each author's contribution in a brief paragraph. The authorship must be limited to those who have contributed, besides reading and agreeing on the final manuscript.
Conflict of interest: the author should declare the conflict of interest or state "the authors declare no conflict of interest." The author must identify and state the circumstances that may influence the interpretation of the research results.
References. The reference contains the list of journals, books, or other publications referred to in this manuscript. Each reference cited in the text must be listed in references, and vice versa. References of the manuscript must be traceable, no less than 40 pieces (Min. 30 titles from reputable international journal), should be a primary source (80%), and not exceed 10 years (80%).
MANUSCRIPT WRITING FORMAT
The manuscript is written in quarto paper size, one column, and 1.5 spacing format. The new paragraph begins with six characters from the left side and uses Time New Roman font 12.
The manuscript is written in English.
The number of pages between 15-20, the margin on the left and upper sides is 3 cm, the right and bottom sides are 2.5 cm.
The title is written uppercase (except preposition) using font size 14 with center alignment. The subtitle is written uppercase and uses font size 12 if there is a sub-subtitle, written capital each word except conjunction. Write capital for each word and italic model if there is a sub of sub-subtitle. Subtitle, sub-subtitle, and sub of the sub-subtitle are written on the left side.
The citation is written by the American Psychological Association 6th Edition. Here are samples of citation: (Wong, Sharifuddin, Teng, Li, & Song, 2020); (Triyono, Kamardiani, & Prasetio, 2021); (Debertin, 2004); (Statistics Indonesia, 2020).
The figure or table is made as close as possible to the explanation and put the number sequentially based on the site in the explanation. The source of data is better to be included.
Tables consist of title and content. The line of the table just on the top and the bottom to separate between the title and the content of the table.
AGRARIS bibliography writing is following the American Psychological Association 6th Edition. Bibliography writing (and citations) are recommended to use Mendeley application. (Mendeley Tutorial: http://bit.ly/2vYEQGZ).

Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is written in 1,5 line spacing and 12 pt font size; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms, which include the following:

Information for authors
The author should be aware that by submitting an article to this journal, the article's copyright will be fully transferred to AGRARIS. Authors are allowed to resend their manuscript to other journals or intentionally withdraw the manuscript only if both parties (AGRARIS and Authors) have agreed on the issue. Once the manuscript has been published, authors are allowed to use their published article under AGRARIS copyrights.
All authors are required to deliver the agreement of license transfer once they submit the manuscript to AGRARIS. By signing the agreement, the copyright is attributed to this journal to protect the intellectual material for the authors. Authors are allowed to share, copy and redistribute the material in any medium and in any circumstances.
The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
Author Fees
This journal charges the following author fees.
Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR) Authors are NOT required to pay an Article Submission Fee.
Article Processing Charges (APCs) for International author is USD 250
This fee covers copy editing, layout, DOI registration, and Turnitin Similarity Check.
AGRARIS charge the article publication fee for supporting the cost of wide open access dissemination of research results, managing the various costs associated with handling and editing of the submitted manuscripts, and the Journal management and publication in general, the authors or the author's institution is requested to pay a publication fee for each article accepted.
