Journal History

  1. 2002, The journal was first published in print by the name of Afkaruna: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Keislaman.
  2. January 2007, Received Print ISSN: 1693-4040 from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Center for Data and Scientific Documentation) by the name Jurnal Afkaruna.
  3. 2012, The journal was renamed Afkaruna: Indonesian Interdisciplinary Journal of Islamic Studies. Afkaruna used OJS (Online Journal System) for the editorial and publishing management and published the articles online in addition to the printed version. 
  4. 2015, The Afkaruna journal was nationally accredited “B” by SINTA Kemenristek Dikti. Number : 1/E/KPT/2015.
  5. 2017, Received Print ISSN: 2599-0551 and Online ISSN: 2599-0586 from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Center for Data and Scientific Documentation) by the name of Afkaruna: Indonesian Interdisciplinary Journal of Islamic Studies.
  6. 2019, The journal was published in full English to reach an international readership.
  7. December 2019, The Afkaruna journal received reaccreditation SINTA 2 by Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia. Number : 36/E/KPT/2019.
  8. February 2022, Afkaruna: Indonesian Interdisciplinary Journal of Islamic Studies indexed by DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals).
  9. Starting from December 2022, there is a change in article layout in issues Vol 18 No 2 December 2022, namely the addition of article history to the PDF layout of each article.
