AGRARIS: Journal of Agribusiness and Rural Development Research was first published in 2015. This journal is published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. In 2016 AGRARIS started to publish on an online basis. To make a wide professional network, AGRARIS has collaborated with the Agribusiness Association of Indonesia in 2017. In the same year, this journal was indexed by DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journal) and achieved rank two journal classification by the Ministry of Research and Technology, National Agency for Research and Innovation, the Republic of Indonesia.
From the beginning, this journal published articles in both Indonesian and English. Nevertheless, AGRARIS only publishes English articles starting from Volume 6 Issue 1 (January-June 2020) to impact international scientific communities significantly. Since this volume, AGRARIS also change the manuscript's final layout from 2 columns into 1 column.
On February 23rd, 2021, AGRARIS was accepted to inclusion in Scopus and officially included in the Scopus database on December 14th, 2021, following the AGRARIS's articles that were already entered first.
