Journal History

  1. Jurnal Akuntansi dan Investasi (previous Journal of Accounting and Investment) or JAI was established in January 2000. This name is used from January 2000 to June 2018 with ISSN: 1411-6227 (print), 2477-488X (online). During that period, JAI was publishing articles biannually, namely every January and July.
  2. Since January 2015, JAI is managed by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Association of Accounting Department of Muhammadiyah Higher Education (APSA PTM).
  3. By 4 April 2016, JAI had been indexed by Directory Open Access Journal (DOAJ). At the time, JAI was still using Jurnal Akuntansi dan Investasi as the name.
  4. By 2 July 2018, JAI had been indexed by Science and Technology Index (Sinta) and obtained accreditation predicate in grade 2 by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia, Decree (SK) No. 21/E/KPT/2018 valid from vol 17 no 1 (2016) until vol 21 no 2  2020. 
  5. By July 2018, JAI had used a new name with the English language to be "Journal of Accounting and Investment". It aimed to enhance journal quality, scope, and internationalization agenda. New ISSN: 2622-3899 (print) and 2622-6413 (online). 
  6. From the 2019 edition, JAI publishes a new issue three times per year: January, May, and September.
  7. Since February 2019, JAI is managed by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Association of Accounting Department of Muhammadiyah Higher Education (APSA PTM) and The Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountant (IAI). 
  8. By 29 May 2019, JAI had got new indexing at Directory Open Access Journal (DOAJ). A resubmission of DOAJ indexing is due to the name change.
  9. By 31 December 2019, JAI had got reaccreditation predicate and stay at Sinta 2, Decree (SK) No. 36/E/KPT/2019 valid from vol 19 no 1 (2018) to vol 23 no 2 (2022).
  10. Since August 2021, JAI joined to The Forum of Economics and Business Journal Managers of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions (FORJAFEB PTMA)
