Problem Based Learning Maastricht

Problem based learning atau PBL, suatu metode pembelajaran yang sedang dikembangkan di institusi kedokteran di Indonesia saat ini, mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat. Namun demikian, dalam rangka pengembangan tersebut perlu kiranya kita melihat bagaimana PBL di institusi lain yang sudah eslablishedbaik di dalam negeri maupun di luar negeri. Untuk menambah wacana dan mengambil pengalaman yang mungkin dapat diterapkan di masing-masing institusi kita maka pada editorial ini disampaikan pengalaman mengikuti kegiatan PBL yaitu advanced course PBL di Maastricht belum lama ini. Maastricht sebagai salah satu universitas rujukan untuk pembelajaran PBL sudah menerapkan PBL sejak 1974 yaitu sejak berdirinya Fakultas Kedokteran. Fakultas lain seperti psikologi, ilmu kesehatan, ekonomi, arsitek, hukum dan ilmu lainnya semua menggunakan PBL sebagai metode pembelajarannya. Sehingga bila kita melihat baik kurikulum, proses pelaksanaan, SDM (mahasiswa, staff) dan semua fasilitas yang menunjang PBL di Maastricht sudah begitu sempurna.References
