The chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) manifestation is divided into two types, there are the benign type or tubotympanic type and the malignant type or atticoanthral type, the latest can occur intracranial and extracranial complication.
Facial nerve paresis is one of the extracranial complication due to malignant type CSOM, caused by progresif cholesteatom grotwh and invasion process JFacial nerve paresis as a extracranial complication due to malignant type CSOM if can detect early and as soon as possibel perform decompression will be back to normal function because still reversibel.
A case report of chronic suppurative otitis media malignant type with paresis facialis nerve complication that detected early, perform mastoidectomy operation, facialis nerve dehompression and tympanic cavity exploration have been succes to facialis nerve function.
