Studi Eksperimental Pengaruh Posisi Menyudut Pendulum-Pelat Tembaga pada Getaran Pendulum Berperedam Arus Eddy

Redaman getaran dapat menggunakan mekanisme arus Eddy. Sistem utama diberi magnet dan didekatkan dengan logam konduktif sehingga timbul arus Eddy tersebut. Belum ada aplikasi jenis mekanisme ini untuk menghasilkan redaman non-linier. Pada penelitian ini, pendulum memiliki dua sisi lengan, lengan magnet dan lengan beban. Bidang gerak pendulum dan pelat tembaga membentuk sudut. Konfigurasi baru ini menghasilkan peredam non-linier dengan adanya sisi gerak simpangan pendulum yang dekat dan jauh dengan pelat. Jarak engsel pendulum dan pelat dibuat sama sehingga semakin kecil sudut semakin jauh sisi terdekat magnet-pelat. Respon getaran diperoleh dengan menggunakan software Tracker. Redaman yang dihasilkan tidak sama di dua sisi simpangan pendulum. Nilai redaman lebih besar di sisi simpangan yang dekat pelat. Semakin kecil sudut posisi bidang gerak pendulum bermagnet dan pelat logam semakin lama pendulum mencapai kondisi tunak dan semakin kecil nilai redaman rata-ratanya.References
