Purwarupa Radio Beacon sebagai Bagian dari Sistem Intelligent Speed Assistance untuk Manajemen Lalu Lintas

Kecelakaan lalu lintas mayoritas disebabkan karena pengemudi melebihi batas kecepatan aman. Penggunaan rambu batas kecepatan hanya akan membantu jika pengemudi patuh pada rambu yang terpasang. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, perancangan sebuah alat yang dapat memaksa pengemudi untuk patuh pada aturan batas kecepatan dapat menjadi sebuah solusi. Alat yang dimaksud terdiri atas tiga subsistem, yaitu pemancar dan penerima radio, pengolah informasi dan pengambil keputusan, serta kendali pembatas kecepatan kendaraan. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada perancangan purwarupa pemancar dan penerima radio menggunakan Arduino dan radio RS-232 pada frekuensi 433 MHz. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan purwarupa radio dapat diimplementasikan dengan daya jangkau radio antara 7 meter sampai dengan 10 meter untuk kondisi ada halangan, dan 10 meter sampai 15 meter untuk kondisi tanpa halangan. Handoff dapat berjalan dengan baik selama berada dalam jangkauan pemancar yaitu antara 10 meter sampai dengan 12 meter, dengan jarak antar dua pemancar yaitu 20 meter sampai 25 meter.References
