Journal's Historical Background

The International Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance (IJIEF) is an English-language scientific journal devoted to Islamic economics and finance. IJIEF facilitates the submission of manuscripts by researchers and academicians through its open access policy and double-blind review process.
IJIEF was launched on 11 July 2018 in conjunction with the 3rd International Conference on Islamic Economics and Financial Inclusion (3rd ICIEFI), which was organized by the International Program for Islamic Economics and Finance (IPIEF) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

IJIEF has paid special attention to Islamic economics and finance, which are becoming increasingly important and are a source of concern for the Indonesian government. IJIEF, which was founded by Dr. Dimas Bagus Wiranatakusuma, who is also the Managing Editor, and is chaired by Dr. Ascarya, who serves as the In-Chief Editor, continues to publish scientific papers that have been rigorously reviewed.
IJIEF seeks editorial teams with a strong background in Islamic Economics and Finance, as demonstrated by their institutional affiliations and dedicated contributions to Islamic economics and finance. Additionally, to reflect the geographic diversity, editorial teams hail from a variety of continents and countries.
