Since October 2020, Komunikator was accredited at rank SINTA 2 by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia according to Decree (SK) No. 148/M/KPT/2020.

Komunikator collaborates Asosiasi Penerbit Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi Indonesia (APJKI), Badan Perfilman Indonesia (BPI), and Kafein: Pengkaji Film Indonesia.

In the May Edition Vol 10, No 1 (2018) Komunikator change the look of the previous layout using a two-column model into one column model.
Since 9 July 2018 Komunikator was accredited at rank SINTA 4 by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia according to the Decree (SK) No. 21/E/KPT/2018 and valid until 8 July 2023.
