Author Guildlines
Please carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:
General requirements:
- Articles in the form of research, thinking, scientific analysis, or the study of theory in the field of law and shariah
- Articles submitted to the journal is not being sent to another journals/other publications and has not been published in another journal/other publications.
- Editors reserve the right to modify without reducing or changing the article's content.
- Article should be in English
- The similarity index no more than 20%.
Author should first register as Author through the following address: https://journal.umy.ac.id/index.php/jphk/user/register
The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process:
- Step 1 - Starting the Submission: the author must check-mark on the submission checklists.
- Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded.
- Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
- Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files
- Step 5 – Confirming the Submission: Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to JPHK, click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.
Manucript Guidelines
Manuscript should be uploaded to Jurnal Penegakan Hukum dan Keadilan journal system and arranged in the journal standard format, Title, Authors, Address and Email, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Result and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment and References. Typed at one side of white paper of A4 size, in single column, 1.15 space line, 11-point Book Antiqua font. Margins on all four sides are 2 cm. The journal provides a template for preparing the manuscript in English versions.
- Title. Title should be short, clear, describe the uniqueness of content, capitalize each word with a maximum of 20 words, and use Book Antiqua 13 pt.
- Author. The full name of authors should be written completely, add the affiliation until the country, add one the email of the corresponding author.
- Abstract. Abstract is written in English in 1 paragraph, using single spaces of 150-250 words. Abstracts are written using Book Antiqua (10 pt) and italicized. The contents include elements of the background of the problem, the formulation of the problem/objectives, methods, results and discussion, and conclusions. Abstracts should be clear, concise, and describe the fundamental research. Keywords consist of 3 to 5 words/phrases (ordered alphabetically.
- Introduction. Introduction should be clear and address the issues discussed in the manuscript. Before the research objective, the writer must describe the background of the problem supported by literature studies and studies of previous research results relevant to the problem to be studied by the author. At the end of the paragraph, the author(s) should explain the significance of problem identification and research objectives (Jenie & Lestari, 2019). Important terms in writing this research paper can be strengthened/explained in the footnote.
- Methodology. Describes the type of research, data coverage, data collection techniques that include data sources (primary or secondary), data collection instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis.
- Results and Discussion. Results and Discussions must be arranged in a coherent, logical, and focused, which contains the original views of the author. This discussion should take up the largest portion of the overall substance. In the beginning, the manuscript must present the findings obtained by the author, while at the end, there must be a discussion regarding the existing findings. Discussions should be relevant and supported by appropriate literature.
- Conclusions. The conclusion describes answers to the research objectives. Conclusions must be clear and concise, do not repeat the results and discussion, and provide a clear explanation of possible applications and suggestions regarding research findings. Conclusions are written in paragraph form, not bullet points.
- Acknowledgement. If any, it is written to pay homage to those who have assisted in carrying out the research, such as funders.
- References. Bibliography/references should contain all the references used in the study. The library comes from publications in the last 10 (ten) years with a minimum of 20 pieces and 70% scientific journals and 50% from international journal. The bibliography is written in alphabetical order using IEEE style without being separated by type of bibliography except for Legislation. It is recommended to prepare a bibliography using References Tools such as Mendeley, Zotero or EndNote so that no citations or libraries are missed (not listed).
