Kadar Fosfor (P) dalam Cairan Sulkus Gingiva pada Penderita Penyakit Periodontal Phosphorus (P) Level of Gingival Crevicular Fluid of Peridontal Diseases

Latar Belakang. Prevalensi penyakit periodontal mencapai 60% pada masyarakat di Indonesia. Periodontitiskronis merupakan penyakit periodontal yang sering diderita masyarakat Indonesia. Penyebab utama dari
penyakit periodontal adalah bakteri plak. Perlekatan dan akumulasi bakteri plak akan mengakibatkan inflamasi
dan kerusakan jaringan periodontal diikuti dengan peningkatan aliran cairan sulkus gingiva dan komponen cairan
sulkus gingiva, salah satunya yaitu fosfor yang akan dikeluarkan melalui sulkus. Fosfor yang larut bersama
aliran darah berasal dari cairan sulkus gingiva yang meningkat dan dikeluarkan melalui sulcular epithelium.
Tujuan. Mengetahui kadar fosfor dalam cairan sulkus gingiva pada penderita periodontitis kronis. Metode.
Subyek penelitian merupakan pasien yang datang ke RSGM Universitas Jember yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi
dan eksklusi. Subyek penelitian yang memiliki kriteria inklusi dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok berdasarkan hasil
pemeriksaan intra oral, yaitu penderita gingivitis dan periodontitis kronis. Pengambilan sampel cairan sulkus
gingiva dilakukan pada elemen gigi yang mengalami gingivitis atau periodontitis dengan paperpoint. Tahap
pengukuran kadar fosfor menggunakan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis dengan panjang gelombang 883 nm. Hasil
penelitian dianalisis dengan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kadar fosfor pada
penderita penyakit periodontal. Kesimpulan. Kadar fosfor pada penderita periodontitis kronis lebih tinggi
daripada penderita gingivitis.
