Perbandingan Persepsi Rasa Sakit Setelah Aktivasi Alat Ortodontik Lepasan pada Pasien di RSGM Unjani dengan Metode Visual Analog Scale (Vas)

Latar belakang: Rasa sakit sering terjadi selama perawatan ortodontik. Rasa sakit bukan suatu masalah yang besar,
tetapi hampir 10% pasien menghindari perawatan ortodontik, karena pasien memiliki pengalaman rasa sakit. Pasien
yang merasa takut akan sakit dapat langsung menghindar dari perawatan ortodontik. Tujuan: mengetahui perbedaan
persepsi rasa sakit setelah aktivasi alat ortodontik lepasan pada pasien di RSGM Unjani dengan metode Visual Analog
Scale (VAS). Desain penelitian: Jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimental dengan rancangan post test. Subyek penelitian
adalah pasien di RSGM Unjani Cimahi sebanyak 5 orang tiap kelompok perlakuan, diambil dengan cara purposive
sampling. Variabel pengaruh yakni aktivasi alat labial bow, skrup ekspansi dan C Retractor. Variabel terpengaruh yakni
persepsi rasa sakit. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan uji Kruskall Wallis dengan tingkat kemaknaan 0,05. Hasil:
menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna pada ketiga variabel yang diuji dengan p=0,439. Kesimpulan:
tidak terdapat perbedaan persepsi rasa sakit setelah aktivasi alat ortodontik lepasan pada pasien di RSGM Unjani
dengan metode Visual Analog Scale (VAS), terutama pada ketiga varibel yang diuji, yaitu labial bow, skrup ekspansi
dan C retractor.
