Perbedaan Kekuatan Tarik Antara Semen Ionomer Kaca Modifikasi Resin dengan Mineral Trioxide Aggregate sebagai Bahan Kaping Pulpa

Pemilihan bahan yang tepat merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan perawatan kaping pulpa. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari sifat mekanis dan mekanisme adhesi bahan tersebut terhadap jaringan gigi. Mekanisme adhesi tersebut sangat dipengaruhi oleh kekuatan tariknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti kekuatan tarik bahan kaping pulpa sebagai pertimbangan dalam memilih bahan kaping yang baik berdasarkan sifat mekanisnya. Metode penelitian ini adalah laboratoris murni. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu gigi premolar satu rahang atas yang masih utuh paska ekstraksi dengan indikasi perawatan orthodontik. Dua belas sampel dilakukan preparasi kelas V G.V Black dengan ukuran preparasi 2x2x3mm dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok uji yaitu dengan bahan SIKMR (Semen Ionomer Kaca Modifikasi Resin, Fuji II LC, GC Japan) dan MTA (Mineral Trioxide Aggregate, Rootdent®,Technodent Rusia). Pengukuran kekuatan tarik menggunakan Universal Testing Machine (UTM) dalam satuan Mega Pascal (MPa). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kelompok 1 memiliki rata-rata kekuatan tarik sebesar 6,81MPa sedangkan kelompok 2 sebesar 2,44MPa. Data yang didapatkan dianalisa menggunakan uji statistik Mann-Whitney Test. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah SIKMR memiliki kekuatan tarik lebih tinggi dibanding MTA sebagai material kaping pulpa (p<0.05).References
