Green Organizational Citizenship Behavior Based on Green Employee Engagement

Abstract


Research aim.  This research  is to analyze the factors of Religiosity, Trust Leader (TL), and Team Cohesion (TC) on Green Employee Engagement (GEE) its impact on Green Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Green OCB) of employees with an Islamic perspective. Design/methodology/Approach. The sample size was 315 employees of Bank Syariah Indonesia, especially in the Central Java Region. sampling through a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was multiple-stage cluster sampling with a purposive sampling method. Data collection uses a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability, data analysis methods, and hypothesis testing using the Amos SEM application. Research finding. The research are: Religiosity have a significant effect on Green Employee Engagement. Trust Leader has an insignificant effect on Green  Employee  Engagement. Team Cohesion has a significant effect on Green  Employee Engagement. Religiosity and Team Cohesion have a significant effect on Green Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Green OCB). But on the other hand; Trust Leader has an insignificant effect on Green OCB. Green Employee Engagement mediates between Religiosity, Trust Leader, Team Cohesion on Green OCB.  Theoritical Contribution/originality.  This research provides tepri contributions related to the role of reliogiosity and trust leaders on green employee engagement but trust leaders do not have an influence on green OCB. Religiosity and team cohesion can play a role in increasing Green OCB. The role of Green employee engagement in mediating Religiosity, Trust Leader, Team Cohesion on Green OCB, especially for employees in Islamic banking companies. Practitioners Contribution/implications. Provide input for practitioners in Islamic banking to implement business models, especially in emphasising the role of reliability for employees and leaders because it will have a significant impact on the implementation of green management in the company.

Research limitation/implications. This research data uses perceptual measures, and it is feared that it cannot capture the overall behavior of respondents. Future research needs to consider the distribution of respondents, the number and time carried out longitudinally, and other relevant variables that are integrated into the model.
