Publication Ethics

JBTI : Jurnal Bisnis : Teori dan Implementasi is a continuous scientific journal. The main purpose of this journal is to disseminate scientific articles in the field of business, which have a theoretical and implementation foundation. In this regard, the related article must be related to the science of business management and financial accounting related to business practices. The editor accepts scientific articles that have not been published that presents fully in English. The printed ISSN is 2085-7721 and the Online ISSN is 2622-0733.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

Publish an article in JBTI is an important element in developing a coherent and credible knowledge network. This publication directly reflects the quality of the author's work and the institution that supports it. Peer-reviewed articles support and represent the scientific method as a whole. Therefore, it is very important to agree on ethical standards that must be upheld by all parties involved in the publishing process, included authors, journal editors, reviewers, publishers, and the scientific community.

Master of Management, Postgraduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, as the publisher of the JBTI, takes responsibility seriously at every stage of the publishing process. We recognize the importance of upholding ethical and other responsibilities in scientific publishing. We are committed to ensuring that neither advertising, reprints, nor other commercial revenues influence editorial decisions. In addition, the Master of Management, Postgraduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and the Editorial Board will support communication with other journals and/or publishers when necessary and relevant.

Publication Decision

JBTI editors are responsible for deciding which submitted articles should be published. The validity of the work and its importance to researchers and readers should always drive the decision. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and limited by applicable legal provisions, such as defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. Editors may confer with other editors or reviewers in making these decisions.

Fairness

The editors evaluate manuscripts for intellectual content at all times without regard to the race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, nationality, or political views of the authors.

Confidentiality

The editorial board should not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the authors, reviewers, prospective reviewers, other appropriate editorial boards, and the publisher.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Unpublished material in a submitted manuscript should not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the authors.

 

Reviewer Duties:

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and can help authors in improving the quality of manuscripts through editors.

Speed

Every selected reviewer who does not feel qualified or interested in reviewing the manuscript and/or does not have enough time to review should immediately notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.

Confidentiality

Any manuscript accepted for review should be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts should not be distributed or discussed with others unless authorized by the editor.

Objectivity Standard

Reviews should be conducted objectively, personal criticism of authors is inappropriate. Reviewers should state their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors. Statements that observations, derivations, or arguments have been reported previously should be accompanied by relevant citations. Reviewers should also declare to the editor if there is substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published article.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Information or ideas obtained in the review process should be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers should reject manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.

 

Author Duties:

Reporting Standards

Authors of original research reports must present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of the significance of the research. The underlying data should be accurately included in the manuscript. A manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the work. Fraudulent reporting or deliberate provision of inaccurate information is unethical and unacceptable behavior.

Data Access and Retention

Authors are requested to provide raw data associated with manuscripts for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data (consistent with JBTI), where possible, and should in any case retain such data after publication.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors should ensure that they have written a entirely original work, and if the author has used the work and or words of others, then these have been appropriately cited.

Multiple, Redundant and Concurrent Publication

An author should not publish a manuscript outlining the essence of the same research in more than one major journal or publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously constitutes unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior.

 

Source Acknowledgment

Acknowledgment of the work of others should always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the work they are reporting.

List of Authors

Authors should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, conduct, or interpretation of the reported research. All persons who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Other persons or parties who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be recognized or listed as contributors. Authors of correspondence should ensure that all appropriate authors are listed in the manuscript and there are no inappropriate authors, and that all authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.

Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects

If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have unusual hazards inherent in their use, the authors should clearly identify these in the manuscript.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

All authors must disclose in their manuscript any conflict of interest either substantive or financial that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

When authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, it is the authors' obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the manuscript.
