Focus and Scope

Maharaat: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab is a peer-reviewed journal focuses on Arabic education in the world. This journal is published by Program Study of Arabic Education, Faculty of Languages Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Editors welcome scholars, researchers and academicians who have concern on Arabic Education to submit scholarly articles to be published through this journal. All articles will be reviewed by experts before accepted for publication. Each author is solely responsible for the content of published articles.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published twice a year every April and October.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.


Plagiarism Policy

  • For every article submitted to Maharaat: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, editors will do the initial screening including the screening for originality aspect of the article. The article is going to be checked by the assistance of Turnitin program.
  • If after this screening process, the article is considered as a plagiarized work, not an original work come from the author, there is a procedure of article retraction from the journal. The editors will inform the authors regarding this retraction procedure.
